Description

The Orion is a large two-tier ring chandelier built from 64 G4 lamps housed behind segments of natural Spanish alabaster, framed in brushed brass. The two circular rings are suspended at different heights from a single brushed brass ceiling canopy on fine steel cables, giving the fitting a layered horizontal silhouette across a 1370mm diameter footprint.

Designed for double-height entrance halls, stairwells, formal dining rooms and hospitality spaces with ceiling heights of 3m or higher, the Orion works as ambient lighting on a substantial scale. The 64 G4 lamps distribute light evenly around both rings, so the chandelier reads as a continuous glowing band rather than a cluster of point sources. Suspension cables can be adjusted on installation to set the gap between the upper and lower ring and the overall drop.

Each alabaster segment is cut from natural Spanish stone, so veining, tonal variation and translucency differ from piece to piece around the ring. The brushed brass channel that holds the segments is matched to the canopy, giving a consistent warm metallic line that frames both rings. With a height of 100mm per ring and the two-tier arrangement, the Orion holds visual weight in larger volumes without crowding the ceiling plane.

Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, as alabaster is porous and softer than marble.
