Orion 27 Light Ring Alabaster Chandelier - Brushed Brass

The Orion is a 600mm-diameter ring chandelier built from 27 natural Spanish alabaster panels set into a brushed brass frame. The panels sit between an inner and outer brass band, forming a continuous low-profile ring just 100mm tall. Twenty-seven G4 lamp sockets sit behind the alabaster, lighting each panel individually so the entire ring glows as a single horizontal band of warm, diffused light.

Suspended on four fine cables from a circular brushed brass canopy, the Orion suits dining rooms, open-plan living areas, hallways with double-height ceilings and stairwell voids where a horizontal light source reads better than a vertical one. The shallow 100mm ring height keeps the fitting visually quiet while the 600mm diameter gives it enough scale to anchor a 6-8 seat dining table or a large coffee table below. Suspension drop is adjustable on installation.

Each alabaster panel is cut from natural Spanish stone, so veining patterns and tonal variations differ across the 27 segments. When unlit the ring reads as a soft white band against the warm brass; when lit, the translucency of the stone comes forward and the natural mineral patterns become visible. The brushed finish on the brass softens reflections and avoids the high-gloss look of polished brass, pairing comfortably with both warm and cooler interior palettes.

What bulbs does the Orion take?

The chandelier takes 27 x G4 capsule bulbs, one behind each alabaster panel. G4 LED capsules in 1-2W and 2700K-3000K give the warm, soft glow that suits the natural alabaster best. Bulbs are sold separately.

Is the Orion dimmable?

Dimmability depends on the G4 bulbs fitted and the dimmer module used. G4 LED capsules vary in dimmer compatibility — please contact us with your dimmer model before ordering if dimming is required.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 100mm ring height keeps the Orion suitable for ceilings of 2.4m and above. Suspension cables are adjustable on installation, so the ring can be set 700-800mm above a dining table in a standard-height room, or dropped further into a double-height void or stairwell.

Will the alabaster panels match each other exactly?

No. Each panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining direction, tonal variation and translucency differ between segments. This natural variation is part of the material and becomes most visible when the chandelier is lit.
