Description

The Oria is a 600mm alabaster cylinder pendant light formed from a single 60mm-diameter column of natural Spanish alabaster, capped at the top and base with brushed brass collars. An integrated 15W LED inside the column casts warm 3000K light through the stone, turning the alabaster itself into a vertical diffuser and revealing the amber veining that runs through each piece.

Designed as a single drop pendant for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, stairwells and entrance halls, the slim profile makes Oria suited to cluster installations where multiple pendants hang at staggered heights. The narrow 65mm overall diameter takes up minimal visual space above a worktop, and the 600mm column gives a strong vertical line without crowding ceilings of 2.4m or higher. A black drop cable runs from the top brass cap to a matching ceiling rose.

Each alabaster column is cut from a different section of stone, so veining patterns, mineral density and the warmth of the amber tones vary between individual pendants. The honed surface is smooth to the touch and the variations in translucency mean some areas glow more strongly than others when the LED is lit. Solid copper internal elements give the brass caps their structural weight, and the slim suspension rod keeps the line from ceiling to fitting clean and uninterrupted.

Does each alabaster pendant look the same?

No. Each 60mm column is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining patterns, mineral density and amber tonal variation differ between individual pieces. The differences become more visible when the LED is lit. This is a feature of the natural stone, not a defect.

Can the Oria be hung in a cluster?

Yes. The slim 65mm overall diameter and vertical proportions make Oria a popular choice for cluster installations over kitchen islands, dining tables and stairwells. Pendants are typically staggered at different drop heights, with each pendant wired to its own ceiling rose or to a multi-port plate.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The alabaster column itself is 600mm tall, with additional drop from the suspension cable. The pendant suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, and the cable can be shortened on installation to set the base of the column at the appropriate height above a worktop or table.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
