Description

This orange blossom scented candle comes in a round glass holder printed all the way round with ripe oranges, dark green leaves and small white blossoms on a soft green ground. A gold lid sits on top, so the candle looks finished whether it is lit or resting between evenings. It stands 9.3cm tall and 8.6cm across, and at 190g it is a compact candle that fits easily on a bedside table, a bookshelf or the corner of a desk without crowding it. The green and gold pairing gives it a fresh, garden feel that sits well with both warm wood and pale painted walls.

We think it suits the smaller rooms of a home best: a bedroom, a study, a hallway console or a reading corner, where a compact candle feels right. On a dining table it adds a little colour without blocking anyone's view across the table, and the fruit print brightens a shelf even when the candle is not lit. It also makes a thoughtful new home gift, something pretty and practical for the first quiet evenings in a new place, and with its lid on it looks neat on a shelf from the very first day.

The candle is set in its glass holder with a single wick at the centre, and the gold lid lifts straight off when you want to light it. As with any candle, never leave it burning unattended, keep it away from draughts, curtains and anything that can catch, and let the flame go out and the wax cool before the lid goes back on. Dust the glass with a soft dry cloth, or wipe it with a damp cloth once the candle is cold. For a ready new home gift, tie a length of ribbon around the lid; at home, set it beside a stack of books for an easy bit of colour.
