Description

The Knightsbridge Oran is a 90mm square surface-mount downlight with a tiltable GU10 lamp fitting housed in a white powder-coated aluminium body. The lamp sits recessed within the square housing and can be tilted to direct light at an angle from the ceiling plane, making the fitting suitable for accent lighting, picture lighting or directional task lighting in rooms where a fixed downward beam would not serve.

Designed for installation on solid ceilings or where there is no void above the ceiling for a recessed fitting, the Oran mounts via rear cable entry and fixes directly to the ceiling surface. The 115mm projection from ceiling to base gives enough depth for the tiltable GU10 socket and its heat dissipation requirements. The raised lamp position within the housing reduces direct glare when viewed from typical standing or seated positions in a room.

The aluminium construction provides durability and effective heat management for GU10 lamps up to 10W. The white finish integrates cleanly with white or off-white ceilings in residential, retail and hospitality settings. The fitting accepts any standard GU10 lamp (sold separately), including LED, halogen, dimmable and Knightsbridge SmartKnight controllable options, giving flexibility over colour temperature, output and dimming behaviour depending on the lamp chosen.

No. The fitting accepts any standard GU10 lamp up to 10W, sold separately. Knightsbridge offers dimmable LED, non-dimmable LED and SmartKnight controllable GU10 options that pair with this fitting.

Can the lamp be angled after installation?

Yes. The GU10 socket tilts within the housing, allowing the light beam to be directed at an angle from the ceiling. This makes the Oran suitable for accent lighting or directing light onto specific surfaces rather than providing only a fixed downward beam.
