Description
Mounted to the wall, our One More Look Oak Mirror carries its own slim oak shelf, so the shelf and box arrive as part of the same piece. The tall rounded-rectangle glass has no visible frame, so the reflection stays clean and open, and we like how the shelf gives you a spot for a few small things right beneath it. A small box sits on the shelf beside the mirror, keeping keys, trinkets or a folded note close to hand. At 118cm high and 78cm wide, it reads as a generous piece while the 15cm depth keeps it steady against the wall behind.
We have finished this one in Anthracite Grey, a deep grey that we find works well in hallways, bedrooms and dressing areas alike. The solid oak shelf brings a warm, natural grain that we think balances the cooler grey nicely, and the plated brass detailing adds a soft metallic touch. The mirror is made from solid oak, MDF, glass, steel and artificial leather, and it weighs 11kg, so it feels reassuringly solid once in place. The big shelf takes a maximum load of 10kg, and we would ask you to spread that weight evenly across the surface so everything stays balanced and secure.
Assembly takes us around 45 minutes, so you can have it settled and ready in an afternoon. To keep the finish looking its best, we suggest wiping the oak with a soft dry cloth and cleaning the glass with a lightly dampened one, avoiding harsh sprays near the leather and brass. For styling, we like pairing it with a small lamp and a low vase on the shelf, letting the Anthracite Grey act as a quiet backdrop. It is a piece we return to whenever a room needs both a mirror and a little useful surface.
