Description
Solid oak, glass and steel come together in our One More Look mirror, a piece finished in Dark Oak with a slim shelf below the glass. The frameless design keeps the reflective surface clean and open, while the wood beneath adds warmth and structure. We plate the steel details in brass and finish the small box on the shelf in Petrol Blue, so the colour reads as a considered accent rather than an overall theme. MDF and a touch of artificial leather complete the build, giving us a mirror that feels solid at 11kg without being heavy to position.
This one is a tall rounded-rectangle, standing 118cm high and 78cm wide, with a depth of 15cm that lets the shelf hold everyday items. The big shelf takes a maximum load of 10kg when weight is spread evenly across the surface, so it suits a small clutter of keys, a folded pair of glasses or a low ceramic dish. The Petrol Blue box on the shelf keeps smaller pieces tidy and close to hand. Because the mirror carries its own shelf and box, we find it works well in an entrance hall, a bedroom corner or above a low chest where you want reflection and a little storage in one place.
Assembly takes around 45 minutes, and we supply the mirror ready to put together with the steel and wood elements. The Dark Oak sits comfortably against pale or darker walls, and the Petrol Blue accent gives the piece a point of colour without overwhelming the room. Everything we use here, from the solid oak to the glass and plated brass, is chosen so the mirror holds up to daily use. We think of it as a practical piece first, and one we are happy to stand behind for the long term.
