Description

Olympia is a modern shaggy rug in beige and brown, laid out in a bold geometric pattern of rectangular blocks set on the diagonal. Cream, beige, mid brown and deep brown blocks interlock across the whole rug. It is machine made in polyester with a multi textured pile, so some blocks look soft and smooth while others have a flecked, two tone finish. The pile is cut by hand along the edge of each block, giving every shape a crisp outline and a sculpted look, and a metallic effect yarn runs through the pile.

We see it as a living room rug first. The 80 by 150cm size sits neatly in front of an armchair or a fireplace, or in a reading corner. The 120 by 170cm size fits in front of a smaller sofa with a coffee table on top, while the 160 by 220cm size is large enough to slip under the front legs of a bigger sofa and pull the seating area together. Its warm neutral tones sit well on wooden floors and beside cream, grey or natural upholstery.
