The Olivia is a 140mm recessed downlight with a decorative antique brass surround featuring a raised floral relief pattern radiating from the centre. A white inner trim ring houses a single GU10 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately), while the outer brass frame sits flush with the ceiling surface once installed.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms and hallways where ceiling-recessed lighting needs a decorative accent rather than plain white bezels, the Olivia pairs functional downlighting with traditional detailing. The 37mm recess depth fits standard ceiling voids with joists at 400mm centres, and the GU10 fitting accepts standard LED or halogen bulbs up to 50W. The IP20 rating restricts installation to dry indoor locations away from direct water contact.

The antique brass finish has a darker, aged patina compared to polished or brushed brass, with the raised floral relief catching light at different angles depending on viewing position. What ceiling void depth is needed?

A 37mm recess depth is required above the ceiling surface for the fitting to sit flush. Typical UK timber joist voids at 100-150mm easily accommodate this, but check your ceiling construction before ordering if joists are particularly shallow.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating restricts the Olivia to dry indoor locations. For bathrooms or wet areas, choose a downlight with an IP44 or IP65 rating instead.
