Description

The Olivia is a 700mm 8-light crystal chandelier with an antique brass frame supporting cascading Asfour cut crystal droplets, wrapped by a 700mm diameter ivory cream gauze shade. Eight E14 bulb positions sit on curved brass arms arranged around a central column, with individual crystal strands hanging from each arm and beneath the central hub. The cream shade filters the light from all eight bulbs through its fine weave, softening the output and reducing glare while the crystals below the shade refract direct light into prismatic points.

Designed for dining rooms and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.5m or higher, the Olivia pairs ambient diffused light from the shade with the decorative sparkle of cut crystals. The adjustable drop of 850-2180mm allows it to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table in a standard-height room, or hung lower in double-height spaces. The 700mm diameter suits tables between 1.6-2.2m long and positions well in rooms measuring 4m square or larger. The antique brass finish has a warm, slightly aged tone that pairs comfortably with traditional, classical and warm-toned contemporary interiors.

Each Asfour crystal droplet is precision-cut lead crystal, providing higher refraction and clarity than acrylic or glass alternatives. The brass frame carries the combined weight of the crystals, shade and eight lampholders at 6.8kg total, so the ceiling rose and mounting hardware must be rated for this load. The chandelier accepts any E14 bulbs up to 40W each (sold separately) and is dimmable when paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.

What bulbs does the Olivia take?

The chandelier takes eight E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, each rated up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for ambient dining room light.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

The minimum drop is 850mm, which means the chandelier extends at least 850mm below the ceiling rose once installed. In a room with a 2.4m ceiling height this would leave approximately 1.55m clearance to the floor, which is acceptable for rooms where people do not walk directly beneath the fitting. Rooms with ceiling heights below 2.5m may find the Olivia too large.
