Description

The Olivia is a 500mm diameter crystal chandelier with five E14 bulb positions housed beneath a black fabric shade, suspended from a polished chrome canopy on an adjustable chain. The chrome frame holds cascading Asfour crystal droplets that catch and refract light from the bulbs above, while the black gauze shade diffuses that light into a warmer, more ambient output below.

Designed for dining rooms, bedrooms and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Olivia combines decorative crystal with functional shade lighting. The 730-1670mm adjustable drop allows the chandelier to hang 600-800mm above a dining table or lower into a double-height entrance hall. The five E14 bulbs (sold separately) provide enough light output for a 12-16m² room when used with 4-6W warm-white LEDs, and the fixture is compatible with dimmable bulbs when paired with a compatible LED dimmer.

The polished chrome finish on the frame and canopy reflects daylight and provides high-contrast against the black shade, making the chandelier visually distinct even when switched off. The Asfour crystal droplets are individually hung on chrome pins, creating a layered curtain of refraction beneath the shade. The black fabric is a semi-translucent gauze that softens the bulb glare while allowing the crystal beneath to remain visible from the side. At 2.5kg the chandelier needs secure fixing to a ceiling joist or reinforced rose rated for the combined weight.

The chandelier takes five E14 small Edison screw bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K for dining room or bedroom use.

Is the Olivia dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable E14 LED bulbs and used with a compatible LED dimmer. Check the bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before purchase, as not all LED bulbs dim smoothly on all dimmer models.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 730mm plus the 500mm diameter means the chandelier needs at least 2.4m ceiling height to hang comfortably. For dining tables the chandelier typically hangs 700-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with 2.6m or higher ceilings.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal droplet individually with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the chrome pins or metal frame. Do not use household spray cleaners on the crystals.
