Description
The Olivia is a 2-light wall light built on a black metal frame with gold patina accents, featuring two scrolled arms that curve outward from an oval backplate. Each arm terminates in a candle-style drip tray holding an E14 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately). The backplate includes two decorative vertical posts rising above the mounting point, echoing traditional wrought-iron lighting.
Designed for hallways, dining rooms, living rooms and bedroom walls where decorative accent lighting is needed, the Olivia projects 125mm from the wall and stands 275mm tall once fitted. The two-bulb arrangement provides balanced light across a span of approximately 250mm, suitable for mounting either side of a mirror, flanking a fireplace, or spacing at intervals along a corridor. The black finish pairs with both light and dark walls, while the gold patina detailing adds warmth without requiring full brass or gilt fixtures throughout the room.
The scrolled metalwork on each arm mimics leaf or foliate motifs common to traditional and Gothic Revival lighting, giving the fitting a classical profile without heavy ornamentation. The drip trays beneath each bulb holder catch any wax drips if decorative candle-shaped bulbs are used, and the open frame allows light to spread outward and upward rather than directing it downward like a shade-enclosed fitting. Glass shades are available separately for this range if a softer, diffused light effect is preferred.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Olivia takes two E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K to mimic traditional candlelight.
Can glass shades be added?
Yes. Elstead offers optional glass shades for the Olivia range that fit over the E14 bulb holders. The shades diffuse the light and soften the output, creating a more ambient glow while still allowing the scrolled metalwork to remain visible.
Is it suitable for low ceilings or narrow hallways?
The 125mm projection from the wall is shallow enough for most hallways and the 275mm height suits standard ceiling heights. The light spreads outward rather than projecting far into the room, making it workable in spaces where deeper fittings would intrude.
What finish is the gold detail?
The gold is a patina finish applied over the black metal frame, giving a hand-aged appearance rather than a bright polished gold. This creates contrast with the black base without requiring full brass or gilt fixtures elsewhere in the room.
