Description

The Olivia is a 2 light crystal wall light with a polished chrome frame, cascading Asfour crystal droplets and an ivory cream fabric shade. Two E14 bulbs sit behind the shade (sold separately), with crystals suspended from a twin-armed chrome frame beneath. An integrated pull-cord switch on the front of the fitting allows the light to be turned on and off without reaching for a wall switch.

Designed for bedrooms, sitting rooms and hallways where decorative wall lighting is needed with convenient local control, the Olivia suits bedside positions where a switch within reach is more practical than a wall switch behind furniture. The 200mm projection from the wall clears most headboard depths, and the 350mm width gives presence without overwhelming a typical double-bed wall. The cream shade softens the light output and diffuses it upward and outward rather than directing it downward as a bare-bulb sconce would.

The polished chrome frame is based on a Flemish chandelier silhouette scaled down to wall-light proportions, with two curved arms holding the lampholders and a central spine from which the crystal droplets hang. The Asfour crystals are facet-cut for refraction, so they throw small points of light onto surrounding walls and ceilings when the bulbs are lit. The cream shade is a gauze-weave fabric drum, approximately 350mm in diameter, which clips onto the frame around the bulbs. At 1.14kg the fitting requires secure fixings into a solid wall or into a stud behind plasterboard.

What bulbs does the Olivia take?

The fitting takes two E14 small Edison screw (candle) bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs around 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for a soft glow through the cream shade.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if you fit dimmable E14 bulbs and the wall circuit is connected to a compatible dimmer switch. The integrated pull-cord on the fitting is an on/off switch only, not a dimmer.

How does the integrated switch work?

A pull-cord switch hangs from the front of the chrome frame. Pulling it once turns the light on; pulling it again turns it off. This is particularly useful for bedside installations where reaching a wall switch behind furniture is inconvenient.

Can the shade be removed for cleaning?

Yes. The cream fabric drum clips onto the chrome frame and can be removed by hand without tools. The shade can be gently vacuumed or spot-cleaned with a dry cloth. The crystals can be wiped with a barely-damp microfibre cloth when the bulbs are cool and the power is off.
