Description

The Olivia is a 300mm flush ceiling light with a hand-finished ivory and gold patina metal frame surrounding a frosted glass bowl. A single E27 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the glass, diffusing light across the ceiling and down into the room. The flush mounting keeps the fitting within 75mm of the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where pendant lights would hang too low.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms and living rooms where ceiling clearance is limited, the Olivia provides general ambient light without visual obstruction. The frosted glass softens the bulb brightness and reduces glare, while the ivory and gold patina metalwork adds decorative detail around the rim. The 300mm diameter suits rooms of 8-12m² when paired with a 10-12W LED or 60W equivalent bulb.

Each Olivia fitting is hand-finished, so the gold patina detailing and ivory tones vary slightly between pieces depending on how the finish is applied to the metal. The raised decorative edge around the outer rim casts subtle shadows when the light is on, adding texture to what would otherwise be a plain ceiling surface. The ivory base tone pairs with both warm neutrals and cooler greys, while the gold accents work alongside brass fixtures and warm metallic accessories.

Frequently Asked

What bulb does it take?

The Olivia takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. For general room lighting, a 10-12W warm white LED (2700K-3000K) provides the equivalent brightness of a traditional 60W bulb.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 75mm projection makes the Olivia ideal for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where pendant lights would hang too low or create obstruction. The flush mounting keeps the fitting close to the ceiling.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. It has no stated IP rating, so it is for dry rooms only.

Does the hand-finished detail vary between fittings?

Yes. Each Olivia is hand-finished, so the gold patina detailing and ivory tone vary slightly between individual pieces. This is characteristic of the handmade process, not a defect.
