Our Offset Rounded Bars 3D wall panels bring a calm, linear rhythm to a plain wall. Each white PVC panel is a 50cm square carrying six broad horizontal bars with a rounded face, stacked with a narrow shadow line between each. Every bar runs off one side edge and finishes in a rounded end just short of the other, and those ends alternate right and left down the panel, so the rows sit offset to one another. The bars swell slightly towards their rounded ends, in a relief 24mm deep that casts clear shadows in side light.

These are made for interior walls in homes, offices, hotels and shops. Fitted across a feature wall behind a sofa, a bed or a reception desk, the bars join into long horizontal lines with a gentle stagger where the rounded ends fall. Side light from a window or a wall light picks out the curve of each bar and deepens the shadow lines between them, so the wall shifts through the day from crisp stripes to softer bands. Along a hallway the horizontal run draws the eye from one end to the other.

Each panel is formed from a 0.8mm sheet. To fit one, spread adhesive on its back and press it onto the wall. Panels cut to fit at the edges, and the joins are filled with filler and wiped clean, with no special equipment needed. Adhesive and filler are sold separately. When working out how many you need, four panels cover one square metre. PVC is waterproof and low maintenance, so a wipe with a damp cloth is all the care they ask. For the neatest result, start the first row on a level pencil line so the offset ends stay in step across the wall.
