Description

This is the linear connector for our Office range of wide linear pendants: a white joining kit that lets two of those pendants run end to end as one continuous line of light. It comes as a pair of flat rectangular plates, each drilled with a pattern of holes, together with a set of small grub screws. Each plate is 12cm long, 32.6mm wide and 2mm thick, and the kit weighs 0.12KG. The pendants are not included. This is an optional accessory, and you need one kit for each join between two pendants.

It is the part to add when one pendant on its own would stop short of the space you want to light: a long desk, a meeting table or a row of workstations in an open-plan office. Joining the pendants end to end gives an unbroken run rather than separate fittings with gaps, so a long line of light reads as a single, considered piece. Because the kit is optional, you buy only as many as your layout needs, and a single pendant can always stay on its own.

The plates are flat and just 2mm thick, so they add very little bulk where two pendants meet, and their white finish keeps them discreet. When you plan a run, count the joins rather than the pendants, because every join takes its own kit. As with any mains lighting, the pendants are installed by a qualified electrician.
