Description
The Oberture is a compact table lamp with a curved brown/black oxide metal arm suspending a frosted glass bell shade over a rectangular weighted base. The arm curves in an S-shape from the base to the shade holder, positioning a single E14 bulb fitting inside the frosted glass. The oxide finish on the metalwork shows darker bronze tones with surface texture variation that mimics aged metal.
At 280mm tall and 130mm long, the Oberture fits narrow bedside tables, small desks and corner shelving where a larger table lamp would overhang the surface. The frosted glass shade diffuses light in all directions rather than directing it, making this better suited to ambient lighting than focused reading. The curved arm positions the shade off-centre from the base, so the lamp sits closer to a wall or the back edge of a table with the light source projecting forward into the room.
The 720g weight keeps the lamp stable on its rectangular base without needing additional anchoring. The brown/black oxide finish pairs with wrought iron furniture, darker wood tones and industrial-style interiors, while the frosted glass softens the overall look compared to clear or amber glass. The lamp accepts any E14 (small Edison screw) bulb, sold separately.
The frosted glass and E14 socket accept warm 2700K or 3000K bulbs to match the mood of the room, and the lamp runs on standard 220-240V mains at 50/60Hz. Dimming needs a compatible dimmer alongside a dimmable bulb, letting the ambient output drop for evening use. The 1 year warranty covers the fitting.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Oberture takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. We suggest pairing this with a 4-6W LED candle bulb in warm white (2700K-3000K) for bedside or ambient desk lighting.
Is it dimmable?
Dimming depends on pairing a dimmable E14 bulb with a compatible dimmer switch. The lamp itself has no built-in dimmer control, so both the bulb specification and the wall/plug dimmer must support dimming.
How stable is it on a narrow surface?
The rectangular base measures 130mm x 100mm and weighs 720g, providing stability on surfaces as narrow as a typical bedside table (around 300-400mm wide). The curved arm positions the shade forward from the base, so the lamp sits best with the base towards the back edge of the table.
Does the frosted glass provide enough light for reading?
The frosted shade diffuses light in all directions rather than directing it downward, so it functions better as ambient light than focused task light. For bedside reading, pair the Oberture with a separate adjustable reading lamp or position it to supplement overhead lighting.
