Description

The NU-X Reissue Analog Delay is a vintage-style delay pedal built for guitar or bass. It records your input signal and plays it back as a series of repeats, giving you the echo effect that runs through so many classic recordings. The pedal uses genuine analogue 'bucket-brigade' circuitry with BBD chips, so the repeats fade with a warm, slightly softer tone rather than the clean, clinical copies you get from digital units.

You get three controls plus a footswitch. Delay Time sets the gap between repeats, Repeat controls how many times the echo comes back, and Blend mixes the delayed signal against your dry sound. This layout keeps things simple, which makes it a good starting point if you are new to delay, while analogue players will recognise the character straight away. True bypass hardware switching keeps your signal clean when the pedal is off, and the input impedance of 1M Ohms with an output of 10k Ohms means it sits comfortably in most rigs.

The pedal runs on a supplied 9V PP3 battery or an optional 9Vdc 300mA regulated power supply (not included). It measures 121 x 77 x 48mm and weighs 230g, so it takes up little room on a pedalboard. The sound leans towards the warmer, 1980s-inspired end of the delay spectrum, with repeats that sit nicely behind your playing rather than fighting for space. It is a straightforward, honest take on analogue delay that works whether you want subtle thickening or longer, more obvious echoes.

Frequently Asked

Is this a true analogue delay?

Yes. It uses genuine analogue bucket-brigade circuitry with BBD chips, so the repeats fade with a warm tone rather than the clean copies produced by digital delay units.

Can I use it with bass as well as guitar?

Yes. The pedal works with both guitar and bass, recording your input and playing it back as repeats.

How do I power the pedal?

It runs on the supplied 9V PP3 battery, or you can use an optional 9Vdc 300mA regulated power supply, which is not included.

What do the three controls do?

Does it have true bypass?

Yes. It uses true bypass hardware switching, so your signal stays clean when the pedal is switched off.

Is it suitable for beginners?
