Description
The NU-X PA-50 is a personal monitoring amplifier built around a full range 2-way speaker set with a flat frequency response. It gives you 50W RMS of output from a compact angled cabinet, so you can sit it at your feet and hear yourself clearly on stage or in the studio. Inside are two drivers, a 165mm (6.5") low frequency unit and a 38mm (1.5") high frequency unit, which together cover the full range without needing a separate PA.
There are two independent input channels, each with its own EQ response. Channel 1 is tuned for a more dynamic sound and lifts the low and high frequencies, while Channel 2 stays flat and does not colour the tone of the source you feed it. This makes the PA-50 a good match for a processor or IR loader such as the NU-X Solid Studio, letting you play the true sound of your favourite guitar amp (or amplifier, in US terms) without carrying the whole rig with you.
Connections cover most needs, with a combo input taking either 6.3mm jack or XLR, a second 6.3mm jack input, and a 3.5mm stereo aux input. A 6.3mm auxiliary output is fitted for feeding another device. Set your levels with the two volume controls, then use the 3-band EQ for bass, middle and treble to fine-tune the output. The cabinet measures 364 x 361 x 325mm and weighs 11.5kg, running from a 200-240V IEC mains supply with a maximum consumption of 75W.

Frequently Asked
What is the difference between the two input channels?
Channel 1 is tuned for a dynamic sound and lifts the low and high frequencies. Channel 2 has a flat response that does not colour the tone of your input source. Each channel has its own volume control.
Can I use the PA-50 with an amp modeller or IR loader?
Yes. It works well with a processor or IR loader such as the NU-X Solid Studio, so you can hear your amp tones through the PA-50 without carrying a full rig.
What inputs does the PA-50 have?
It has a combo input (6.3mm jack or XLR), a second 6.3mm jack input and a 3.5mm stereo aux input. There is also a 6.3mm jack auxiliary output.
How much power does it produce?
The PA-50 gives 50W RMS through its full range 2-way speaker set, with a 6.5" low frequency driver and a 1.5" high frequency driver.
What EQ controls are fitted?
There is a 3-band EQ with bass, middle and treble controls, plus separate volume controls for each of the two channels.
What are the size and weight of the cabinet?
The angled cabinet measures 364 x 361 x 325mm and weighs 11.5kg, making it easy to place at your feet as a personal monitor.
