Description

The NU-X NTU-3 mkII Flow Tune is a mini core style tuner pedal for guitar and bass. It carries a large HD colour display that keeps your tuning status easy to read, even when you are standing back from the board on a busy stage. The compact housing takes up very little room on your pedalboard, yet the casing is rugged enough for regular gigging and rehearsals.

You get three output modes to suit how you play. True-bypass (TB) passes your signal straight through, while buffered (BF) mutes the output while you tune. There is also a buffered mode (BFM) that keeps the output unmuted during tuning, so you can watch the tuner status while still playing live. Alongside this you can choose from three display modes, including a strobe simulation for fine adjustments.

Three tuning modes cover Guitar, Bass and Chromatic use, and holding the same button lets you set the A4 reference frequency anywhere from 430 to 450Hz. Tuning stability sits at ±0.1 cent, so you can trust the readout when accuracy matters. The pedal needs a 9V centre-negative DC power supply drawing 100mA (not supplied); the compatible NU-X power supply is stock code 173.290UK. Input impedance is 10M Ohm and output impedance is 1k Ohm.

Frequently Asked

Does the NTU-3 mkII come with a power supply?

No, it is not supplied. You need a 9V centre-negative DC power supply with a 100mA current draw. The compatible NU-X supply is stock code 173.290UK.

Can I keep playing while I tune?

Yes. The buffered mode (BFM) keeps your output unmuted during tuning, so you can carry on playing live while the tuner shows its status. The standard buffered mode (BF) mutes the output during tuning instead.

Will it tune both guitar and bass?

Yes. There are three tuning modes covering Guitar, Bass and Chromatic, so the pedal works for both instruments as well as open or drop tunings.

Can I change the reference pitch?

Yes. Holding the same button lets you set the A4 tuning frequency anywhere between 430 and 450Hz.

What are the display options?

You can choose from three display modes on the large HD colour screen, including a strobe simulation for more precise tuning.

How accurate is the tuning?

Tuning stability is rated at ±0.1 cent, which is fine for both studio and stage use.
