Description

The NU-X NTK-37 is a MIDI keyboard controller built around 37 full-size semi-weighted keys. Velocity sensitivity and aftertouch give you room to shape how each note responds to your playing, while separate pitch bend and modulation wheels sit to the left of the keys for fine control over your sound. It's designed to work at the centre of a computer-based recording setup, and it comes with Cubase LE so you have software to get started with straight away.

Alongside the keyboard you get a track pad for operating on-screen editors, plus a bank of assignable onboard controllers for mapping parameters to your software. A backlit display with a rotary encoder lets you navigate the onboard settings menu, and a set of transport keys gives you quick access to recording functions without reaching for the mouse. There's also an inbuilt arpeggiator, a smart scale feature and transpose and octave controls, so you can play in key and cover a wide note range from a compact instrument. On-screen control is handled through the NTK Editor app.

Power and data both run over a single USB-B connection at 5Vdc, which keeps cabling simple. A 5-pin DIN MIDI out (called a MIDI out socket in the UK, a MIDI output in the US) is included for connecting to hardware synths and modules, and a 6.3mm jack input takes a sustain pedal. The NTK-37 is the 3-octave model in the NTK range, with 4 and 5 octave versions also available if you need a wider span.
