Description

The NU-X NSP-10 is a momentary action sustain pedal built for electronic keyboards and digital pianos. It works with instruments from NU-X and most other brands, so you can add it to whatever setup you already have. The metal housing gives it a solid feel underfoot, and an anti-slip rubber base keeps it in place while you play rather than sliding away when you press down.

A polarity switch on the pedal lets you choose between normally-open and normally-closed operation. This matters because different instruments expect different pedal behaviour, and getting the polarity wrong can leave your sustain working backwards. With the switch, you can match the NSP-10 to your keyboard and get the response you expect. The pedal connects using a 2m jack lead fitted with a 6.3mm standard jack plug (sometimes called a 1/4 inch plug in the US), which is the common size for keyboard sustain inputs.

At 59 x 69 x 250mm and 610g, the NSP-10 is a straightforward, no-nonsense pedal that does one job and does it well. The 2m cable gives you enough length to sit comfortably at your instrument without the lead pulling tight. If you need a reliable sustain pedal that suits a wide spread of keyboards, this is a sensible option that should slot into your playing without fuss.

Frequently Asked

Will the NSP-10 work with my keyboard?

It is designed for NU-X keyboards and digital pianos, and works with most other brands too. The polarity switch helps it match instruments that expect either normally-open or normally-closed pedals.

What is the polarity switch for?

Different instruments expect the pedal to send its signal in different ways. The switch lets you pick normally-open or normally-closed so the sustain responds correctly rather than working in reverse.

What plug does it use?

The 2m lead is fitted with a 6.3mm standard jack plug, also known as a 1/4 inch plug. This is the usual size for keyboard and digital piano sustain inputs.

How long is the cable?

The cable is 2m long, giving you room to sit at your instrument without the lead pulling tight.

Does the pedal stay in place while playing?

Yes. It has an anti-slip rubber base and a metal housing, so it stays put underfoot rather than sliding away when you press down.
