Description

The NU-X NOL-1 A/B Roll pairs a polyphonic lower octave with a looper in one compact unit. The octave side tracks chords as well as single notes, adding a sub-octave voice beneath your playing without the glitching you get from older mono designs. Alongside it sits an auto recording mode, so the pedal can start capturing when it hears you play, which helps when you want to keep both hands on the guitar and grab an idea as it lands.

Recording runs at 24-bit for clean audio, with up to six minutes of loop time and unlimited overdubs to build up layers. Seven pre-set IR (impulse response) slots hold your cab simulations, and the built-in IR loader and editor let you load your own files and adjust them to taste. There's a 1/8" headphones out (phones out to some, jack to others) for quiet practice, plus OTG audio streaming so you can move recordings between the pedal and a connected device.

Controls stay simple with Level, Sub, and an eight-way IR mode switch, so you can set a sound and get on with playing. The unit measures 94 x 51 x 53 mm and weighs 175g, small enough to sit on a crowded board without crowding out your other pedals. It runs on 9V DC through a standard DC5521 connector with negative centre polarity; the adaptor is not supplied, so you'll need your usual pedal power source. It works at home, in the studio, or on stage.
