Description
The NU-X NME-3 Cerberus brings together an analog preamp section and digital spatial effects in one board, giving you two pedals in one. The drive, modulation, delay and reverb blocks each have their own rotary controls, so you can adjust parameters on the fly without digging through menus. Every setting can be stored as a user patch and recalled whenever you need it, which keeps your workflow quick on stage and in the studio.
With sixteen effects on tap, Cerberus covers a lot of ground. The analog overdrive and distortion circuits give you real gain up front, with true bypass on the OD/DIST module. Behind that sits an 88.2kHz/32bit AD/DA converter and processing, with ultra-low latency from in to out of 0.68ms to 2.04ms. In live mode you switch each block in or out as needed, and in preset mode the footswitches recall stored patches in banks of four. Full MIDI implementation, expression inputs and 4-cable method wiring make it easy to fit into a pro rig.
When you run a DI connection to a PA system, recording suite or FRFR speaker, Cerberus can use its built-in speaker emulation with an IR loader for a custom cabinet profile. The software editor lets you edit and update the unit over USB. It sits in a rugged die-cast housing built for the stage, and works well for both guitar and bass players. It needs an external power supply (not included); the compatible unit is 173.290UK.
