Description

The NU-X NEK-110 builds on the earlier NEK-100 to pack more sounds and features into a slim, portable format. It runs from its internal 3000mAh rechargeable battery or the included 12V adaptor, so you can play at home or take it with you. Inside you get 700 internal tones and 40 digital effect types, including chorus and reverb, all storable across 9 user memory banks. The 61 full-size keys give you room to work, with touch response, transpose, and pitch bend of plus or minus two semitones.

The control layout is simple and gives quick access to the settings you use most. You can split the keyboard with adjustable split point, volume and pan settings, or layer two or three sounds together. There are 100 built-in demo songs and 100 rhythm styles to play along to, plus auto accompaniment and single-finger chords. A separate Live mode holds 40 music phrases that launch from the upper 32 keys, and you can toggle these with normal patch sounds for standard right-hand playing.

Connections sit along the rear panel. USB type-C carries MIDI, so the NEK-110 works as a controller or sound module within a DAW, and a second USB-C port takes the optional NBT-1 Bluetooth adaptor. You also get a sustain pedal input (6.3mm), aux in, headphones out and line output. Two 5W speakers handle onboard sound, and max polyphony is 54 notes. At 925 x 252 x 80mm and 3.1kg, it stays easy to carry between rooms or to a gig.
