Description

The NU-X NCC-2 Komp Core Deluxe mkII brings together the features you'd want from a guitar compressor or sustainer in a compact stomp box. It gives you clean sustain and peak limiting for undistorted arpeggios and melodies, or you can boost it to drive the front of an amplifier for smooth, lingering lead tones. The 100% analogue circuit keeps the signal path simple and true bypass means the pedal stays out of your tone when it's switched off.

You get variable control of Sustain and Clip, plus a switchable Attack, so the compression character can be adjusted to suit different playing styles. The Blend control lets you dial in just the right amount without swamping the natural string dynamics, and a Tone control helps you fine-tune the top end. That combination makes it a flexible choice for clean blues, country twang and hard rock soloing alike, whether you want a light touch or heavy squash.

Connections are straightforward: Input and Output on 6.3mm (1/4-inch) jacks, with power in on a DC5521 jack. The pedal needs a suitable 9Vdc power adaptor (a US 'power supply' or UK 'PSU'), such as our reference item, which is sold separately. At 48 x 72 x 122mm and 262g, it fits neatly onto a pedalboard alongside your other pedals without taking up much room.
