The NU-X MP-2 Mighty Plug is a complete guitar or bass practice setup that fits in your pocket. Plug it straight into your instrument, connect a pair of headphones, and you can play fully amplified sounds in near silence. There is no amp to carry and nothing to disturb the people around you, so it works well for late-night practice, hotel rooms or shared spaces where a full rig is not an option.

Inside this small unit is a wide selection of amp models for guitar and bass, along with acoustic simulations and a bank of effects. There are 13 amp models, 20 IR presets and 19 effect models to work through, so you can shape your tone across a broad range of styles. Bluetooth lets you pair the MP-2 with a phone or tablet to stream backing tracks and jam along, and it also connects to the free Mighty Amp app (available from the App Store and Google Play) for detailed editing of every amp and effect setting.

The Mighty Plug charges over USB-C, so there are no batteries to keep replacing. That same USB-C port doubles as a computer interface for firmware updates and for recording and playback, which means you can capture ideas or record parts straight into your DAW. The internal LiPo battery gives you plenty of playing time, and at just 62g the whole thing is light enough to keep in your gig bag or gadget bag. For anyone who wants to practise, record and explore new sounds without a full setup, it covers a lot of ground in one tiny device.
