Description
The NU-X Mod Core Deluxe mkII builds on the original Mod Core Deluxe with new effect models, more signal routing options and extra editing features. It packs 8 modulation models into a single compact stomp box (US: stompbox), covering everything from chorus and flanger to phasing and vibrato. If you only have room for one modulation pedal on your board, this one gives you plenty of ground to cover.
Each model has Rate and Depth controls, plus a Tweak knob that adjusts a third parameter specific to the selected effect. In Alt mode you get a further Blend adjustment for mixing wet and dry. Rate can also be set using the Tap Tempo function built into the main footswitch, with a tempo range of 50 to 200 bpm. An analogue dry signal path keeps noise low and adds zero latency, while the digital processing runs at 48kHz, 24-bit.
Routing is flexible. You can run mono out, stereo out, or mono with a built-in send/return loop. When using the loop there are three placement options: pre, parallel and post effect. Inputs and outputs use 6.3mm mono jacks, and firmware can be updated over USB-C. The pedal runs on an optional 9V DC adaptor (pin-negative) and draws under 120mA. It measures 122 x 72 x 47mm and weighs 270g, so it sits comfortably on most pedalboards.

Frequently Asked
How many modulation effects does it have?
It has 8 modulation models, including chorus, flanger, phaser and vibrato variations. The full list of modes is ST.CH, CE-1, SCF CHO, SCF FLG, SCF PM, U-VIBE CHO, U-VIBE VIB and PH-100.
Does it work in stereo?
Yes. You can run mono out, stereo out, or mono with the send/return loop. Outputs use 6.3mm mono jacks (Out1 and Out2/Loop send).
What power supply does it need?
It needs a 9V DC adaptor with a pin-negative DC5521 jack, sold separately. Current consumption is under 120mA.
Can I use the send/return loop with other pedals?
Yes. The loop gives you three routing options for placing other effects pre, parallel or post the modulation effect.
How do I set the effect tempo?
You can adjust the Rate using the knob or the Tap Tempo function on the main footswitch, across a range of 50 to 200 bpm.
Can the firmware be updated?
Yes. There's a USB-C port for firmware updates, so you can keep the pedal current as new versions are released.
