Description

The NU-X Mighty Lite BT mkII is a compact desktop practice amp built for guitar players who want a lot of tones without a lot of bulk. It keeps the small form factor of the original but adds new amp models, effects, modulations, delay and reverb, all digitally modelled. A cabinet IR loader lets you load your own impulse responses for flexible cabinet simulation, and acoustic IRs are on hand too. You can programme and store your settings across 7 internal presets, so your favourite sounds are always ready.

Editing is handled two ways. A USB type-C port connects to a PC or Mac for the free Mighty Editor software, while Bluetooth gives you wireless control through the free Mighty Amp app, both available from the NU-X site. The same Bluetooth connection streams audio, so you can play along with backing tracks straight from your phone or tablet (US: cell phone). A built-in drum machine and metronome round out the solo practice tools, giving you a steady tempo to work against.

Power comes from 6 AA batteries, an optional 9Vdc adapter (mains adaptor, not supplied) or USB via a power bank, so the amp works at your desk or on the move. The 3 inch (75mm) 5 Watt speaker keeps things portable, and inputs cover a 6.3mm guitar jack plus a 3.5mm aux in, with a 3.5mm headphone (US: headphone) output for quiet practice. At 720g and 166 x 124 x 98mm, it suits bedroom practice, project studios and travelling players alike.

No. The Mighty Lite BT mkII runs from 6 AA batteries, a power bank via USB-C, or an optional 9Vdc adaptor that is sold separately. The suitable power supply is part 173.290UK.

Can I edit the amp from my computer?

Yes. The USB type-C port connects to a PC or Mac, and the free Mighty Editor software lets you adjust settings and update firmware.

How does the Bluetooth work?

Bluetooth lets you stream backing tracks wirelessly and edit presets through the free Mighty Amp app on your phone or tablet.
