Description

The NU-X Mighty Bass 50BT is a compact bass amplifier (US: bass amp) built for rehearsal and session work, packing plenty of internal features into a small cabinet. It uses NU-X's proprietary TSAC amplifier modelling and Impulse Response loading, so a wide range of amplifier and speaker types are available despite the modest dimensions. A 50W class D power amplifier drives a custom 6.5" (165mm) speaker unit to deliver full bass response and cut through in a rehearsal setting.

You can edit the built-in effects and amplifier settings onboard or over Bluetooth using the NU-X MightyAmp app for iOS and Android, then save them to the three internal channels. Bluetooth also streams audio to the amp for backing tracks, and the app gives access to a digital drum section and jam tracks for solo practice. For deeper editing, connect via USB to a PC or Mac with the Mighty Bass 50BT editor software, which also works as an audio interface for recording and handles firmware updates.

Connecting a foot switch (US: footswitch) gives on-the-fly control of the internal drum machine and the 60 second phrase looper. An AUX input, headphones output and balanced DI output round out the connections, so the amp fits almost any musical setting from home practice to stage. It measures 326 x 300 x 225mm and weighs 7.2kg, with a 28Vdc 4A power adaptor supplied in the box.
