Description

The NU-X MG-50li is the flagship multi-effects processor (multi-FX unit) for guitar and bass, built around two core technologies: TSAC-4K white-box physical modelling amps and Deep Image profiling amp models. You get 27 white-box modelling amps and 33 Deep Image profiling amps built in, plus room for 30 user amps. Using the NUX Image and Deep Image technology, you can capture your favourite amps or OD/DIST pedals and store the profiles directly inside the unit, so you can bring your rig anywhere. The NUX Image app lets you combine those captures with different EQ models and power amp tube models to build your own sounds.

The L/R Cyber IR engine provides stereo cabinet emulation with adjustable Microphone, Position and Distance parameters, giving you close control over how each cab sounds. You can run up to 14 simultaneous effect blocks with flexible routing across the dual chain, which opens up a wide range of tonal options. Sound quality comes from 24-bit AD/DA conversion, 32-bit floating-point processing and a 48kHz sample rate, with latency down to 3ms. Dual send/return loops let you route your own pedals into the signal path, and a built-in USB audio interface handles patch management and recording via computer.

A 5 inch high-definition colour LCD display stays readable in bright daylight, so you can dial in patches on the front panel or through the NUX app on your phone or computer. The included NBT-1 Bluetooth module adds app control, and a built-in rechargeable battery means you can play and perform without mains power. Connections include an input jack, EXP jack, Aux in, send/return jacks, stereo output L/R, DI out, earphones jack and MIDI in/out. The unit measures 393 x 210 x 72mm and weighs 2.8kg.

Yes. Using the NUX Image and Deep Image technology through the NUX Image app, you can capture your own amps or OD/DIST pedals and store the profiles inside the MG-50li, alongside the 27 white-box and 33 Deep Image amps already built in.

Does it have a built-in battery?

Yes, there is a built-in rechargeable battery for playing and performing away from a mains supply. It also runs on the supplied 12V DC 1.5A power supply (centre negative).

How many effects can run at once?

You can combine up to 14 simultaneous effect blocks across the dual chain, with flexible routing options for building your own signal path.

Can I use it as a USB audio interface?
