Description
The NU-X MG-101 packs a full guitarist's rig into one compact floor unit. Inside its simple housing you get a complete suite of amplifier tones plus a wide palette of guitar and bass effects, arranged across 10 independent signal blocks. Amp modelling uses TSAC-HD White Box technology for high definition analogue circuit simulation, while speaker cabinet emulation runs through an impulse response (IR) loader. You get 25 internal cab models and 12 extra user slots for importing your own IR files, so you can shape tones to suit the music you play.
Real-time controls and a full colour display keep editing quick, and every parameter can be adjusted onboard or through the free QuickTone software for PC and Mac. Settings save into any of 36 internal memory slots for instant recall. The built-in expression pedal handles wah, swell and other assignable effects, and there's a tuner and metronome on hand. The Jam function adds a drum machine and a phrase looper (30 seconds in stereo, 60 seconds in mono), so you can practise or build ideas without extra gear.
USB-C works as a 48kHz, 32-bit audio interface for recording straight into a DAW, making the MG-101 studio-ready. The main 6.3mm stereo jack output feeds a PA or guitar amplifiers in stereo or mono, and a separate 3.5mm TRRS minijack handles headphones or a two-way link to a smartphone for live streaming. It runs on the included 9V DC adaptor and measures 289 x 160 x 71mm at 920g, so it fits easily into a gig bag. It's an affordable way to carry world-class amp models and effects wherever you play.
