Description
The NU-X Drum Rug gives your kit a stable base to sit on, helping stop bass drums and hardware creeping across the floor while you play. It measures 1320 x 1320mm, which leaves plenty of room for a standard five-piece setup along with your stands and stool (or throne, as it's sometimes called in the US).
At 10mm thick, the rug adds a bit of cushioning between your hardware spurs and the floor beneath. That layer helps protect wooden, tiled or laminate surfaces from scratches and dents, and it also soaks up some of the noise and vibration that would otherwise travel through hard flooring. The whole thing weighs 1.2kg, so it stays put once your kit is loaded onto it but remains easy enough to roll up and carry between rehearsals and gigs.
We think this is a sensible bit of kit for drummers who play in more than one place, whether that's a home practice room, a shared rehearsal space or a stage. The heavy duty backing grips the floor to reduce slipping, and having a fixed footprint means you can mark out your positions and set up the same way each time. Rolled up, it takes little space in the boot of a car or alongside your other hardware.

Frequently Asked
How big is the drum rug?
It measures 1320 x 1320mm and is 10mm thick, giving enough space for a standard five-piece kit plus stands and a stool.
Will it stop my kit sliding on the floor?
Yes. The heavy duty backing grips the floor to reduce slipping, and the 1.2kg weight helps keep it in place once your kit is set up.
Does it protect my flooring?
The 10mm thickness sits between your hardware spurs and the floor, helping guard wooden, tiled and laminate surfaces from scratches and dents.
Is it easy to transport?
At 1.2kg it rolls up and packs down small, so it fits easily in a car boot or alongside your other drum hardware.
Does it help with noise?
The rug absorbs some vibration and noise that would otherwise travel through hard flooring, though it isn't a full soundproofing solution.
