Description

The NU-X Drum Rug gives your kit a stable base to sit on, helping stop bass drums and hardware creeping across the floor while you play. It measures 1320 x 1320mm, which leaves plenty of room for a standard five-piece setup along with your stands and stool (or throne, as it's sometimes called in the US).

At 10mm thick, the rug adds a bit of cushioning between your hardware spurs and the floor beneath. That layer helps protect wooden, tiled or laminate surfaces from scratches and dents, and it also soaks up some of the noise and vibration that would otherwise travel through hard flooring. The whole thing weighs 1.2kg, so it stays put once your kit is loaded onto it but remains easy enough to roll up and carry between rehearsals and gigs.

We think this is a sensible bit of kit for drummers who play in more than one place, whether that's a home practice room, a shared rehearsal space or a stage. The heavy duty backing grips the floor to reduce slipping, and having a fixed footprint means you can mark out your positions and set up the same way each time.
