Description
The NU-X DM-310H is a complete digital drum kit built around dual-layer mesh pads mounted to an adjustable rack stand. The snare and floor tom pads are both 10", with a pair of 8" tom pads alongside. Each pad has dual triggers for side-stick and rim-shot effects, while the hi-hat, crash and ride pads each carry edge and bow-shot zones and respond to hand chokes for realistic muting. The hi-hat sits on a real stand with a pedal trigger, and a pressure-sensitive remote pedal gives gradual closing. A separate kick pad and pedal assembly handle the bass drum trigger, so the whole kit feels close to an acoustic setup.
All triggers wire back to the main sound module, which has a large control surface and a backlit display. There are 18 presets with master EQ and compression, plus individual overdrive and reverb effects. Every trigger is adjustable for sensitivity, crosstalk and gain, and the proprietary Varitone multi-triggering algorithm reads subtle changes in striking position to fire responsive samples. A built-in drum coach helps with technique across all levels, and an inbuilt record function lets you check back on your own playing.
Outputs run to a mixing console (mixing desk) or drum amp in mono or stereo via 6.3mm jack, with a separate 3.5mm TRRS jack for headphones or two-way connection to a phone for live streaming. The supplied NBT-1 Bluetooth adaptor pairs wirelessly with a phone for backing tracks. On the rear panel, a USB type-B port connects to a PC or Mac for MIDI and audio, so you can integrate the kit with a DAW recording suite. An optional additional cymbal trigger can be added when you want more room on the kit.

Frequently Asked
Which pads are dual zone?
The snare, tom and cymbal pads all offer dual zone triggering. This gives you side-stick and rim-shot effects on the drums, and edge and bow-shot zones on the cymbals.
Does the hi-hat use a real stand?
Yes. The hi-hat is mounted to a real stand with a pedal trigger, and a pressure-sensitive remote pedal performs gradual closing for more natural playing.
Can I connect the DM-310H to a computer?
Yes. The rear panel USB type-B port connects to a PC or Mac for both MIDI and audio streaming, so you can control and record with a DAW.
How do I play along with backing tracks?
The supplied NBT-1 Bluetooth adaptor pairs wirelessly with a smartphone for backing tracks. You can also use the 3.5mm TRRS jack for a wired two-way connection.
What is the Varitone system?
Varitone is NU-X's multi-triggering algorithm. It detects subtle changes in your striking position and fires responsive samples for more realistic sound.
Can I add more cymbals?
Yes. There is an extension cymbal trigger input on the module, and an optional additional cymbal trigger (176.303UK) can be added.
