Description

The NU-X DM-210 is a complete digital drum kit built around mesh drum pads mounted to an adjustable rack stand. You get three tom pads and one snare pad, each with dual triggers so you can play side-stick and rim-shot effects. The hi-hat, crash and ride pads (US: cymbals) each have edge and bow-shot zones and respond to hand chokes for realistic muting. A pressure-sensitive remote pedal gives you gradual hi-hat closing, while a separate kick pad and pedal assembly provide a natural feeling bass drum trigger.

All triggers wire back to the main sound module, which has a large control surface and a backlit display. Every trigger is adjustable for sensitivity, crosstalk and gain, so you can tune the kit to your own playing. There are 15 drum sound sets on board with an adjustable reverb effect. Audio runs out via 6.3mm jacks to a mixing console or drum amplifier in either mono or stereo, and a separate 3.5mm stereo jack is provided for headphone monitoring. USB connection handles MIDI recording and playback.

A built-in drum coach helps you work on technique from novice through to a more advanced standard, and an internal adjustable click track plus 10 demo songs are handy for jamming. You can also play along with backing tracks through the Aux line input or the built-in Bluetooth receiver, then use the record function to check back on your own playing. The result is a lightweight, minimalist kit that keeps the flexibility of multiple sound sets and a natural feel for real expression.
