Description
The NU-X DM-110 is a compact electronic drum kit (drum set) built for drummers at any stage. It comes with a foldable tubular frame and pairs a dual-zone snare pad with three tom pads, all fitted with mesh heads for a natural, expressive playing feel. A hi-hat pad works with an open and closed foot pedal, while the crash and ride cymbal pads are both 2-zone with a hand choking function. Unlike many entry-level kits, the DM-110 includes a proper kick drum pad, which also takes a dual kick pedal if you want one.
All the triggers run into the DM-110 sound module, which has a simplified display with modes for kit selection, metronome and output level. There's also an additional optional trigger input for expanding the kit later on. Every kit and setting is fully editable, so you can shape the sounds to suit your style. Deep editing is handled over Bluetooth using the supplied NBT-1 adaptor and a phone through the free NU-X 'Drum Touch' app, available for iOS or Android from the NU-X website.
An inbuilt USB audio interface lets you connect the DM-110 straight into a software recording suite, alongside various audio input and output options including a 3.5mm aux jack and headphone output. Powered by the supplied 9Vdc mains adaptor, the assembled kit measures 800 x 1000 x 1000mm and weighs 19.5kg. The whole package makes for a complete yet uncomplicated e-drum kit with good build quality and pro features at a sensible price.
