Description
The NU-X B-6 Pro is a wireless microphone system built for saxophone and trumpet players. The transmitter has a precision clamp that adjusts to fit the bell of the instrument, and a flexible gooseneck microphone locks into place so you can point it for the best pickup. The custom electret condenser capsule sits in a purpose-built suspension mount, which helps keep keying noise and unwanted resonant frequencies out of your sound. On a full charge, the transmitter runs for up to 7 hours.
At the other end is a rechargeable stomp-style floor receiver that auto-pairs when you power up. It works as a digital tuner, a DI box and a charging station for the transmitter, so one unit covers several jobs. Transmission uses the licence-free 2.4GHz band with an all-digital signal path and frequency hopping for a steady connection, and latency is selectable down to 3.6ms. The colour on-screen menu gives you 11 preset EQ profiles plus 2 user-editable slots, along with the tuner display and wireless settings.
The top-mounted footswitch can be set to trigger a signal boost for solos, mute, the tuner, or the send-return loop for effects. It also doubles as a rotary encoder for the onboard menus. Main output is a balanced XLR on the rear, with extra send-return and 6.3mm jack outputs (a 6.3mm jack is sometimes called a 1/4-inch jack in the US) and a USB-C port for firmware updates and PC audio streaming. The receiver runs for around 11 hours per charge. Range is up to 50m, and the system samples at 48kHz 24-bit.
