The Nori is a 2 light wall light that pairs dark weathered zinc ironwork with cascading strands of driftwood grey wooden beads. Two curved metal arms extend from an oval backplate, each supporting an E14 candle bulb fitting, while four strands of graduated beads hang from a central finial above the arms. The beads create a softened, textile-like drape against the dark metal frame.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms and living rooms where wall space allows decorative accent lighting, the Nori provides ambient light rather than task illumination. The 279mm width and 146mm projection from the wall suit positions flanking fireplaces, either side of a bed headboard, or in entrance halls with adequate clearance. The two E14 bulbs (sold separately) allow flexibility in choosing light temperature and brightness to suit the room.

The dark weathered zinc finish on the metalwork has a matt, textured surface that absorbs rather than reflects light, giving the frame a recessive quality that pushes the wooden beads forward visually. Each bead is turned from natural wood and finished in driftwood grey, a soft neutral tone that sits between pale ash and warm taupe. The beads graduate in size from largest at the top of each strand to smallest at the bottom, creating a tapering silhouette. The fitting takes two E14 (small Edison screw) candle bulbs, each up to 40W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for ambient bedroom or hallway lighting.

How far does it project from the wall?

The fitting projects 146mm from the wall once installed. Check clearance in hallways or above furniture to ensure the beads and arms do not obstruct passage or interfere with doors opening.

Is the Nori dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb choice. If you fit dimmable LED E14 candle bulbs and wire the fitting through a compatible dimmer switch, the Nori can be dimmed. The fitting itself has no restrictions on dimming.

Are the wooden beads fragile?

The beads are turned from solid wood and strung on metal wire, so they are more robust than glass or ceramic alternatives. However, the strands can tangle or snag if pulled, so handle with care during cleaning and avoid hanging items from the beads.
