Description
The Nora is a wall light with a matt black circular backplate, a black marble accent block and a cylindrical chrome-frosted glass shade that houses a single E27 bulb (sold separately). The marble block sits between the backplate and the glass, acting as both a structural support and a decorative detail. The glass has a subtle metallic tint that softens the light output while maintaining enough transparency to show the bulb inside.
Designed for hallways, bedrooms and living rooms where directional ambient light is needed, the Nora projects 230mm from the wall and stands 357mm tall, making it suitable for mounting at 1.5-1.8m above floor level. The black marble accent adds visual weight and texture without dominating the fitting, and pairs well with interiors that use dark-toned joinery, marble worktops or metal accents. The fitting can be installed as a single unit on either side of a bed or mirror, or as a pair flanking a doorway or artwork.
The E27 socket accepts LED, filament or halogen bulbs up to the maximum wattage specified (see Specification table). Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen, pairing with a dimmable LED and a trailing-edge dimmer allows control over light intensity. The chrome-frosted glass reduces glare from exposed filament bulbs and gives the fitting a softer appearance than clear glass would. The marble used in the accent block is natural stone, so tonal variation and veining differ between individual pieces.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Nora take?
The Nora takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting in bedrooms and hallways.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, provided you use a dimmable bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. LED bulbs typically require a trailing-edge dimmer for smooth dimming without flicker.
Does the marble vary between pieces?
Yes. Black marble is a natural stone, so the veining, pattern and tonal variation differ between individual accent blocks. This is a characteristic of the material, not a defect.
What height should it be mounted?
For bedside use, mount 1.5-1.6m above floor level so the centre of the fitting sits roughly level with a seated person's shoulder. For hallway or general wall mounting, 1.6-1.8m is typical. The 230mm projection means the fitting needs clearance from door swings and walkways.
