Description

The Nora is a 180mm chrome glass table lamp with a double-wall cylindrical shade, an outer layer of mirrored chrome glass and an inner frosted diffuser, set on a black marble base. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately) that sits inside the frosted core, which softens and disperses the light outward through the chrome shell. The mirrored outer glass reflects surrounding surfaces and ambient light while the frosted inner layer prevents direct bulb glare.

Designed for bedside tables, side tables in living rooms, and console surfaces in hallways or lounges, the Nora provides soft ambient light rather than task lighting. The 332mm total height and 180mm diameter fit comfortably on surfaces 400-600mm wide without dominating the space. The lamp is compatible with dimmable E27 LED bulbs when paired with a suitable dimmer, allowing light output to be adjusted for reading, background ambience, or late-evening use.

The black marble base provides weight and stability (2.8kg total lamp weight) and contrasts with the reflective chrome glass above. The marble shows natural tonal variation and white veining characteristic of the stone. The chrome finish on the outer glass reflects warm tones when the lamp is lit and cooler ambient tones when switched off, making the lamp's appearance shift with the time of day and surrounding lighting conditions.

What bulb does the Nora take?

The lamp takes a standard E27 bulb up to the wattage supported by your chosen bulb type. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 6-10W LED bulb in 2700K-3000K for warm ambient light.

Is the Nora dimmable?

The lamp itself is dimmable-compatible. To dim the light output, you need both a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit or a plug-in dimmer module.

Does the marble base vary between pieces?

Yes. The black marble base is cut from natural stone, so the white veining and tonal variation differ between individual lamps. This is characteristic of the material, not a defect.

How is the chrome glass cleaned?

Wipe the outer chrome glass with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For smudges or fingerprints, a glass cleaner applied to the cloth (not sprayed directly onto the lamp) works well. Avoid abrasive materials that can scratch the mirrored finish.
