Description
The Noma Luxe is a 1020mm tall table lamp built on a square tiered base finished in alternating gold and black horizontal stripes, raised on four silver leaf ball feet. A slim black metal stem rises from the centre of the base, passing through a sculpted palm-leaf detail in gold leaf before continuing up to support a conical gold leaf shade topped with a silver leaf ball finial.
Designed for bedside tables, console tables and sideboards in traditional and transitional interiors, the lamp suits rooms where decorative lighting acts as both functional task light and accent piece. The 180mm-wide base footprint fits comfortably on surfaces 400mm wide or greater, and the 1020mm overall height works on bedside tables 500-600mm tall without overpowering the proportions of the room. The E27 socket accepts any standard Edison screw bulb up to 60W.
The gold leaf finish on the shade and palm detail has a matte, slightly textured surface rather than a high-polish shine, giving the lamp a warmer tone under daylight and minimising reflections. The black and gold striping on the base is hand-applied, so minor variation in the stripe edges and width is characteristic of the finishing process. The silver leaf ball feet and finial provide tonal contrast against the warmer gold tones and tie the base to the top visually.
The conical shade directs light downward and slightly outward, making the lamp suitable for reading when placed at elbow height on a bedside table, or as ambient wash light on a console table in an entrance hall or living room. The metal construction gives the lamp a 2.8kg weight, providing stability on most surfaces without needing additional ballast.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for bedside or accent lighting.
How tall is it compared to a typical bedside table?
At 1020mm total height, the lamp sits comfortably on bedside tables 500-600mm tall, placing the centre of the shade at approximately elbow height when seated in bed for reading. On lower console tables or sideboards it works as accent lighting rather than task light.
Is the gold finish shiny or matte?
The gold leaf finish has a matte, slightly textured surface rather than a high-polish shine. This gives the lamp a warmer, less reflective appearance under daylight and pairs well with other matte-finish metals in traditional interiors.
Does the shade direct light up or down?
The conical shade is open at both top and bottom, directing the majority of light downward and slightly outward. A small amount of light escapes upward through the top aperture around the finial, providing soft ambient glow on the ceiling.
