Description

The Noctis is a 75cm cylindrical flush ceiling light with a turned aluminium base and a powder-coated white metal diffuser housing a single GU10 bulb. The 60mm diameter tube sits close to the ceiling, extending 750mm downward to provide directed downlight from the open aperture at the base.

Designed for hallways, stairwells, entrance areas and contemporary kitchens where vertical ceiling height allows, the Noctis provides focused task or accent light rather than broad ambient coverage. The narrow beam angle typical of GU10 bulbs concentrates light downward, making the fitting useful for highlighting artwork, illuminating a console table, or marking a route through a corridor. The fixture requires a minimum ceiling height of around 2.6m to avoid the lower aperture sitting at head height.

The powder-coated white finish on the metal diffuser gives a matt surface that resists fingerprints and minor scuffs better than gloss finishes. The turned aluminium base houses the GU10 lampholder and mounts directly to a standard UK ceiling rose or junction box. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a dimmable GU10 LED bulb and compatible dimmer switch, allowing output to be adjusted between task and mood settings.

Frequently Asked

What ceiling height is needed?

The 750mm drop means the lower aperture sits 75cm below the ceiling once fitted. To avoid the fitting sitting at head height, a ceiling height of at least 2.6m is recommended. In rooms with lower ceilings the Noctis may protrude into usable headroom.

Does it come with a bulb?

No. The fitting takes a single GU10 bulb sold separately. Most users pair this with a 5-7W LED GU10 in warm white (2700K-3000K) for general lighting or a higher output 10W version for task lighting.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself is dimmable, but dimmer compatibility depends on the GU10 bulb chosen. Use a dimmable GU10 LED and pair it with an LED-compatible dimmer switch to enable dimming functionality.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only — hallways, living rooms, kitchens and bedrooms.
