Description

The Noctis is a 60mm-diameter cylindrical pendant light in brushed brass with a 400mm drop, housing a single GU10 fitting at the base. The metal cylinder sits on a 2-metre adjustable fabric cable, allowing the pendant to be set at varying heights from the ceiling rose depending on the installation context. The compact profile makes it suitable for grouping in multiples over kitchen islands or dining tables, or as a single accent pendant in hallways and bathrooms.

Designed for directional downlighting rather than ambient illumination, the Noctis casts light in a focused beam through the open base of the cylinder. This makes it appropriate for task lighting over worktops, reading positions and dining surfaces where illumination needs to be concentrated within a 600-800mm area below the pendant. The brushed brass finish offers a warm metallic tone that sits between polished brass and antique brass, pairing comfortably with contemporary, industrial and mid-century interiors.

The pendant takes any standard GU10 LED up to 50W (sold separately), giving control over colour temperature and lumen output according to the room's needs. Most installations pair the Noctis with 3000K warm-white GU10 LEDs between 4-7W. The dimmable rating allows the pendant to be used with compatible GU10 dimmable bulbs and wall dimmer switches. The 60mm outer diameter and 400mm length give the fitting a slender vertical proportion that reads as architectural detail rather than decorative mass.

The fabric cable conceals the electrical core and can be shortened during installation if a fixed drop below 2 metres is preferred. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations — the pendant is not suitable for outdoor use or bathroom zones 1 and 2. Ideal Lux provides a 5-year warranty covering manufacturing defects in the metalwork and electrical components.
