Description

The Noctis is a 60mm-diameter cylinder pendant with a matt black metal shade housing a single downward-firing GU10 fitting. The 400mm cylinder drops on a black fabric cable that extends to 2000mm, allowing the pendant to be adjusted during installation to suit ceiling heights from 2.4m to 4m. The narrow beam from the GU10 lamp directs light downward, making this a focused task light rather than ambient illumination.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, desk positions and hallway runs where directed light is needed, the Noctis works individually over a small worktop or in multiples spaced 600-800mm apart along a kitchen island or dining counter. The 60mm diameter keeps the fitting visually compact — narrow enough not to obstruct sightlines across a room but substantial enough to read as intentional rather than incidental. The matt black finish absorbs reflections and pairs with both industrial and contemporary minimalist interiors.

The GU10 fitting (bulb sold separately) accepts standard mains-voltage LED, halogen or CFL lamps up to 50W, and is dimmable when paired with compatible GU10 LED bulbs and a suitable dimmer switch. The fabric cable conceals the electrical run and can be shortened on installation if a lower drop is required. The IP20 rating restricts this pendant to dry indoor areas — kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, home offices — and excludes bathrooms or outdoor use.

No. The pendant takes a standard GU10 bulb (sold separately) up to 50W. Most users pair it with a 4-6W LED GU10 in 3000K or 4000K depending on whether the space needs warm or neutral white light.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself supports dimming when fitted with a dimmable GU10 LED bulb and connected to a compatible dimmer switch. Check that your chosen GU10 LED is rated as dimmable before purchasing.

Can the cable be shortened?

Yes. The 2000mm fabric cable can be cut and re-terminated during installation to achieve a shorter drop. This requires basic electrical work and should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
