Description

The Niseko XS is a white ceiling fan light with retractable blades housed inside a 711mm circular housing when the blades are extended, or 330mm when retracted. An integrated 50W LED provides 2500lm output with adjustable colour temperature from 2700K warm white to 5000K daylight, controlled via the included remote along with fan speed and blade extension. A DC motor runs the fan mechanism and blade retraction system.

Designed for bedrooms, home offices and compact living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Niseko XS combines ceiling lighting and air circulation in a single fitting. The blades retract into the housing when the fan is switched off, leaving a flush white disc ceiling light visible from below. When the fan is activated via remote, the blades extend and rotate to move air. The DC motor operates more quietly than AC motors and draws less power for equivalent airflow.

The white polycarbonate housing conceals the motor, LED driver and retraction mechanism. At 269mm total drop including mounting bracket, the fitting suits rooms where headroom below a traditional hanging fan would be tight. The 145° beam angle from the LED spreads light across most of a 3-4m room without additional ceiling lights. The remote allows independent control of light brightness, colour temperature and fan speed without needing wall switches or app pairing.

How do the retractable blades work?

The blades are housed inside the white circular casing when the fan is off, presenting as a flush ceiling light. When you activate the fan via remote, the blades extend outward from the housing to a 711mm diameter and begin rotating. When the fan is switched off, the blades retract back inside the 330mm housing.

What ceiling height is needed?

The fitting has a 269mm total drop from ceiling to underside of housing, so it works in rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights without excessive headroom loss. The retractable blade design avoids the deeper drop typical of traditional hanging ceiling fans.

Can the colour temperature be changed?

Yes. The integrated LED is tuneable from 2700K warm white to 5000K cool daylight via the remote control, allowing you to shift from warm ambient light in the evening to brighter task light during the day.

Is installation similar to a standard ceiling light?

The Niseko XS fits to a standard ceiling rose or mounting point rated to carry at least 2.8kg. The wiring connects to mains live, neutral and earth. A qualified electrician should install the unit to ensure safe support and correct wiring.
