Description

The Nilmelle is a four-blade ceiling fan with a light built into its centre, finished in matt black from the ceiling canopy to the blade tips. It measures 122cm across and stands 33.5cm tall, so it moves air over a generous span without hanging far down into the room. The body is UV resistant ABS, and the round shade beneath the motor is milky acrylic, which softens the integrated LED light. That light draws 20W and gives 2,400 lumens, a good amount for a main ceiling light. It carries an IP20 rating, which settles where it goes: indoors, in a dry room.

We see it suiting bedrooms, living rooms, home offices and dining rooms: anywhere you want moving air on warm days and a main light from the same fitting. The matt black finish gives a crisp, graphic outline against pale walls and sits just as comfortably in a darker scheme. Because one fitting does the work of a pendant and a standing fan, the floor stays clear and the ceiling stays tidy. The remote control comes in the box, so you can change the speed or switch the light from the bed or the sofa without getting to a wall switch.

The fan has three speeds and is reversible, so the blades can turn in either direction, and it is controlled by the remote.
