Description

The Nightfall is an 800mm outdoor bollard light built from UV-stabilised resin, finished in white with a translucent diffuser at the head. The single E27 bulb fitting sits inside the diffuser, distributing light downwards and outwards across pathways, driveways and garden borders. The IP55 rating protects the internal components from dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making the bollard suitable for year-round outdoor use in UK weather.

Designed for pathway lighting, patio edges, and driveway borders, the Nightfall provides low-level ambient light without glare at eye level. The 800mm height places the light source below typical sightlines when walking, so the bollard marks a route or boundary without creating visual discomfort. The resin construction withstands temperature extremes from -60°C to +90°C, and the UV-stabilised material resists yellowing and brittleness under prolonged sun exposure.

The 155mm diameter base provides stability on grass, gravel and paved surfaces, and the cylindrical form integrates into both contemporary and traditional garden designs. The bollard is dimmable when paired with a compatible E27 LED bulb and outdoor-rated dimmer, allowing light levels to be adjusted for different times of evening. The white finish reflects daylight and softens into the background of lighter-toned paving, render and planting schemes.

Frequently Asked

What bulb does the Nightfall take?

The bollard takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately). Most users pair it with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for outdoor pathway lighting. The fitting is dimmable when used with a compatible LED bulb and outdoor-rated dimmer.

Is it suitable for coastal locations?

The resin construction resists corrosion better than metal bollards in salt air, and the UV-stabilised material prevents degradation from sun exposure. The IP55 rating protects against windblown rain and coastal spray, making it appropriate for exposed coastal gardens.

How is the bollard installed?

The Nightfall requires a ground fixing through the base. Installation typically involves setting the bollard onto a buried junction box or running armoured cable underground to the base, then securing the bollard to a concrete footing or paving slab with fixings through the base plate.

Can it withstand freezing temperatures?

Yes. The resin body is rated for use between -60°C and +90°C, so it will not crack or deform during UK winter frosts or summer heatwaves.
