Nexus 12 Light Crystal Chandelier - Gold & Clear Glass

The Nexus is an 845mm diameter crystal chandelier built on a gold-finished metal frame with twelve E14 candle-style bulb holders arranged across curved clear blown glass arms. Each arm curves out from a central column and terminates in a gold-coloured ribbed glass shade housing the bulb fitting, with amber facet-cut crystal droplets suspended below each shade and a large central crystal finial beneath the chandelier body.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Nexus provides both ambient and decorative light across a 5-6m room. The twelve E14 bulbs (sold separately) are dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch, allowing light output to be adjusted from full brightness for dining to a softer level for background lighting. The 515mm body height sits on a chain and velvet-covered cable that can be adjusted on installation depending on ceiling height and the drop required above a table.

The clear blown glass arms are formed individually and show slight variations in the curve and thickness of the glass between pieces, typical of hand-blown production. The gold finish on the metalwork and the ribbed glass shades sits alongside the chrome-toned finish on some of the internal fittings, creating a two-tone accent. The amber crystal droplets catch and refract light from the bulbs, projecting coloured reflections onto nearby walls and ceilings when the chandelier is lit. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry interior rooms only.

What bulbs does the Nexus take?

The chandelier uses twelve E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs, sold separately. Most users choose LED candle bulbs rated between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for a warm light output. The fitting is compatible with dimmable E14 bulbs when used with a suitable dimmer switch.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 515mm body height plus chain and canopy typically requires a minimum ceiling height of 2.7m to avoid the chandelier sitting too low in the room. For installation above a dining table, the bottom of the chandelier is usually positioned 700-900mm above the table surface, which works in rooms with 2.7-3m ceilings.

Can the chain length be adjusted?

Yes. The chain can be shortened during installation by removing links or coiling excess chain inside the ceiling canopy, allowing the drop to be set to suit the room height and the position of furniture below.

How is the glass cleaned?

The blown glass arms and crystal droplets can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth when the chandelier is switched off and cool. For more thorough cleaning, individual crystal pieces can be detached, washed in warm water with a small amount of washing-up liquid, rinsed and dried before being re-hung. Avoid chemical glass cleaners on the gold metalwork as they may affect the finish.
