Description

The Neutrik NC3FXX is a 3-pole XLR line socket with a metal housing, chuck-type strain relief and a flexible rubber cable protector boot. The socket accepts balanced audio cable up to 8mm diameter and provides solder terminals for hot, cold and ground connections on a standard 3-pin XLR pin configuration.

Designed for custom audio cable builds, PA system installations and stage wiring where field-terminated XLR connectors are needed, the NC3FXX suits both permanent installations and touring environments. The metal housing provides mechanical durability and grounding continuity, while the strain relief clamps onto the cable jacket to prevent solder joint fatigue from repeated flexing or pulling.

The rubber boot slips over the rear of the connector body and wraps around the cable entry point, protecting the transition zone where cable meets connector from kinking and moisture ingress. The NC3FXX is part of Neutrik's X-series line connector range, sharing the same pin spacing and locking mechanism as other NC3 components for reliable mating with NC3MXX male plugs and panel-mount XLR sockets.

Frequently Asked

What cable diameter does it accept?

The strain relief chuck accommodates cables from approximately 3.5mm to 8mm outer diameter. Most professional balanced audio cables fall within this range.

Is it compatible with standard XLR panel sockets?

Yes. The NC3FXX is a line socket (female connector on a cable) designed to mate with male XLR plugs such as the Neutrik NC3MXX or panel-mount XLR male sockets. It follows the standard 3-pin XLR pin spacing and locking latch.

What's included in the connector?

The connector ships with the metal shell, insert with solder terminals, chuck-type strain relief, and rubber cable protector boot. Solder and cable are not included.

Is it sold individually or in packs?

This listing is for bulk sale — quantities and pack sizes vary. Check the product options or contact us to confirm the quantity per order.
