Description

The Nero is a 5 light pendant built from overlapping curved glass plates arranged in a 440mm drum formation. Each plate is acid-etched white glass, creating a soft diffused glow when the five E27 bulbs inside are lit. The glass elements form a sculptural globe shape that appears almost cloud-like from below, with individual curved sections visible through the translucent surface.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and living room central positions, the Nero suits spaces where ambient rather than task lighting is needed. The pendant hangs on adjustable steel cables that allow the drop height to be set between 300mm and 1500mm depending on ceiling height and installation preference. The cables terminate in a circular white ceiling rose that matches the glass finish. Five E27 bulbs (sold separately) provide enough combined output for a 12-16m² room when using 6-8W LED equivalents.

The acid-etched finish on the glass plates scatters light evenly in all directions rather than casting it downwards, reducing harsh shadows under the fitting and creating a softer ambient effect. The white finish works in both warm and cool-toned interiors, though the light colour will be determined by the bulbs fitted. The 210mm overall height of the glass drum itself makes this a relatively compact pendant suitable for standard 2.4m ceiling heights when the cables are shortened appropriately during installation.
